Auxology is the study of
all aspects of
human physical
growth; though it is also a
fundamental of
biology generally. Auxology is
a highly multi-disciplinary
science involving
medicine (pediatrics,
general practice,
endocrinology,
physiology, and to a lesser
degree other fields),
nutrition,
genetics,
anthropology,
anthropometry,
history,
economics,
socioeconomics,
sociology, and
public health, among others.
